1930s layout: should we change it?

Hi everyone!
Just need some advice about our kitchen layout. This is the latest drawing by our architect however, we’re now wondering that we might be making a mistake by not incorporating a w/c and small utility into the space.

We’re extending 3m to the rear. The w/c can’t be put under the stairs. Wethought of maybe dividing the ‘old kitchen” into two and creating a downstairs loo and utility but then I’m not sure what’s the best layout for kitchen, dining and a small seating area.

We’re so unsure about it all so it would be great to see photos or similar layout designs for inspiration. Any advice appreciated!
