Bed side colour/ finish

Hi,
I'm a big fan of your work, and thanks for sharing it!
can you please advice what's the finish on the bed side table? is it Egger? and if I may ask where these handles are from?

Hello, this side table is bespoke. I saw this material in Egger, but I'm unsure if it is from them. Neatsmith made this bedside table for us. If you like, get in contact. They are based in London, and they offer good prices.

I am loving this thread as I have pretty much the same issue. We've selected our grey upholstered bed, so now I need a swatch to scout around curtain, paint and carpet shops. Keeping in mind that we have a huge bay window (let's in light 24hours a day!), fitted mirror wardrobes along the long wall opposite the bed wall, and a dado rail at about 3 feet from the skirting... Curtains - we need something that can look both ethereal and keep the pesky light out... Was thinking pale grey, pale duck egg, or a slightly pink grey... Paint - light grey with pink undertones? Should it be darker below the dado? Should I go dark everywhere? What colour dado / skirting? Am not averse to dark grey skirting.... Carpet - well, something to go with the above. Was thinking a mid-grey, between the dark bed and what might be a lighter wall. Sorry to hijack thread, but it's the same dilemma!

Hi Suzie, could you perhaps do something a bit out of the box and choose something that is a splash of colour? Like a found object? Chinese ceramic stools? you can also go to vintage fairs etc. Or some companies source and stock interesting pieces. This is one : http://www.retrouvius.com/stock/storage I think more grey would be dull, more black would indeed make the room feel too small. I quite like the idea of timber for your chest of drawers etc. Difficult to visualise the space thought! Colour choice is pretty personal. I am partial to blues and purples.. but that is just me! I think a new front door is in order. I don't think it has to be completely faithfully to the original but perhaps something with a long central window (or a three windows) will be the right feel for the house. As far as the roof pitch I don't mind it on the side extension but I feel the porch should have a flat roof. Look at the neighbours for inspiration- it might have had a semicircular flat roof to compliment the bay or there might have been a wider porch that was a continuation of the lintel over the bay window.
