Lighting option in a room with ceiling fan and high wall
Comments (2)Haven't seen any nice fan/light combos? I agree ruling out the recessed lights are the way to go. There's the maintenance issues and also the chance the light behind the fan will strobe. Horrible to live with....See MoreHow high to hang a very large picture with house with toddler
Comments (3)Hang it on strap hangers. You attach the hooks to the wall (which involves careful measuring) and the straps to the back of the sides of the frame. The only way of removing it is to physically lift the weight of the picture to get it off the wall. You could also temporarily replace the glass with acrylic....See MoreHow high to tile bathroom wall?
Comments (7)Hi there, thats correct - it doesnt necessarily increase the chances of mould or mildew, rather it may be visible sooner if it is an older house or one could have any damp issues sooner. Although I am not totally familiar with the house so I wouldn't like to advise too much on this! With any tiling you would still have to consider the cleaning as the grout (depending on the colour) will ware over time too. Another option that can be quite effective is tiling the floor and the walls in the same tile all over, however I see the floor tiles are already laid - love these by the way! I would consider going floor to ceiling as you will have a clean and contemporary finish with bigger impact to match the rest of the house. As with any advice on here, it is slightly more difficult to tell without seeing the room in person, however I think what you have got is going to look lovely either way! Good luck with your decision....See MoreHanging Christmas lights up high.
Comments (4)Command make some hook type things which stick on which might be useful for your plan. https://www.amazon.co.uk/3M-Command-Hooks-Transparent-Plastics/dp/B0084M66QI/ But I'm not really sure how you will manage without a longer ladder/one that will reach over the ground floor roof, sorry! Maybe decorate around the windows or straight across the top of the windows from eave to eave where you are more likely to be able to reach from the windows? Good luck!...See MoreIsla Cherry
