Dark navy blue master bedroom

Hello - considering painting our master bedroom walls a dark navy blue and am looking for photos of dark rooms with dark grey wardrobes for inspiration please 😊 Divan bed is beige and curtains will be a light beige/ creamy colour.
Room is double aspect with two big windows and south facing so I think it’s bright enough to take a dark colour

I think a pic or two of your space would really help. It depends on what natural light you receive.

Difficult to advise without pictures, but here’s some navy bedrooms. Look on Pinterest where there are tons of pictures.

I'd definitely get rid of those drawers underneath the window. Surely you don't need all those. It uses space you need. I would also consider swapping the doors on the wardrobe as they are ornate and now old fashioned. Replace them with plain doors or mirror doors. Once you've done the above you'll be free to decorate as you wish.

Dear Claire, I'd choose wooden floors any day over carpeted floors as they're much more durable and give an airier feel, however if you end up agreeing with your husband on having the room carpeted I'd recommend a warm grey carpet like my design shows below: When it comes to a wooden floor a whitewashed look might look modern but could provide too harsh a contrast, instead I'd opt for a mid-tone warm grey or pale brown. Yes the LVT is nice but would need to board over all the floorboards and it's way out of my price bracket for the bedroom, haha. The floor I found online is similar to the bannerton but a bit cheaper (it's in the sale) but has a 25yr guarantee so should be fairly durable. It looks the same ie with a bit of the grain showing through. Was hoping for something brighter and whiter but I haven't got weeks to buy in loads more samples as need to fit it next weekend, haha
