What colour is your fridge?
Comments (41)PINK SMEG!!!!!! Always wanted one so, when my fridge died (and it took forever to die!), I treated myself. It's the one with the small freezer in the top compartment which suits my needs. It matches my worktop tiles, white with pink corners which look like a diamond pattern. I have loads of pink objects hanging from cup hooks which, all in all, makes friends laugh. Just not sure if they're laughing at me or my humour....See MoreFridges and freezers
Comments (8)Thanks for your thoughts. It is just for those kinds of days that you've mentioned so it does seem silly to cut into our our dining area but there is nowhere for one to go! We converted the garage and outbuildings for this extra space anyway. I've even looked for a slimmer fridge width but there doesn't seem to be anything available or one with a shallow depth for in the utility area....See MoreKitchen layout - fridge freezer issue
Comments (12)With a handleless door 19mm is just enough to open the doors, but not enough to take out the glass shelves. We mostly sell Siemens and Bosch (they're really twins), no problems with the veg/freezer boxes. Some of my customers are ok with the shelves staying in, but others add a filler of thicker panels on either side of the tall cabinets. Because the thicker panels don't fit in the slim lined top and side panel of the cooking are, you could make the countertop 65cm deep, so it will stand out. I'd also suggest removing the vertical 'handle strip' on the left of the oven. Hinges on the left side, it'll be fine. Also, pick a fridge cabinet without the little panel on top. There'll probably be a gap when opening the fridge door, but it'll look better on the outside. (Have a shelf on top of the fridge and you can store some large plates or oven tray there, just make sure there's enough ventilation for the fridge.) Or.. Add another 'handle strip' on the right hand side of the fridge. And keep the strip left of the oven. Balance....See MoreHow to knock through, and where does the fridge go?
Comments (10)Long term I would be looking at the whole floor plan. It appears to me (and I concede we haven’t seen the whole plan) that the extension just provides additional small rooms. Perhaps it you had extended rather than the previous owners you might have put a bigger kitchen where the spare room and utility is and had the laundry facilities in the bootroom. To me the kitchen being in a high traffic area will always feel cramped. So perhaps it’s worth getting a long term plan and deciding if that plan changes any immediate plans....See Moreminnie101
