Integrated Kitchen door opening directions
Comments (11)Strange. It didn't upload. That's it up now. The Fridgefreezer opening that way allows access to both worktops. If I was taking contents from the door it would allow me to place on both worktop. Because it is left of centre I thought it be better opening on left? Maybe not? If it opened on the right from this position it is kind of forcing you to use the left hand work surface? Also if I put the shopping on the floor in between the larder and the fridge to pack food away I can easily have fridge door and larder doors open and just pop things in. If it was right hinged I would have to step around the door. Am I overthinking this yet?! LOL The living room is off to the right with french doors so you would be opening the contents and light to the living room and whoever is in there too. Have a wee look sure and let me know your thoughts :-) Much appreciated!...See MoreIn-frame or lay-on Kitchen?

Comments (17)I’m getting an ultraline sliding door fitted in our new extension in a few weeks. 2.4 high x 4.4 wide. The frames are 20mm. It’s about £10k and I can’t remember off the top of my head whether that includes VAT (probably not unfortunately). But our number one goal with our extension is to connect our living space to our garden, so it feels right to prioritise budget for it. You don’t need a local company necessarily as national companies will have local agents who have product in their showrooms. This has been tricky over the last few months but we also looked at local friends’ houses last summer, where they had installed various different brands of sliders and bifolds, and were able to get a good feel for them from their gardens! Good luck with your research....See MoreBreakfast cabinets, bifold kitchen cabinet doors and pantry units
Comments (7)You're really looking at either a hi end kitchen company who supply a more traditional style kitchen ie inframe, or as @Daisy England says, go to an independent, but as you're planning on having this sitting on your worktop, depending on the design of the rest of the kitchen ie if you have towers, the counter level bi fold doors would be to a special size (as most tall doors are designed for tower use). The easiest way to do this would be to have an extra wide larder (800 or 900), fit an internal drawer unit at the bottom, then a piece of worktop, have power points inside and 2 or 3 shelves above. Depending on where the doors come from it may 2x 1965 doors or 2x 1245 doors at the top and 2x 715 doors at the bottom, all standard stuff. Bearing in mind the appliances your trying to hide would be too big to fit inside a 'standard' 300 deep dresser type unit, the counter top option might not be the most suitable. But for a budget of 20K, i could design and supply a larger than average kitchen that has some bespoke made to measure doors and specially designed rigid cabinets and all to a high spec....See MoreCarolina
