A Collected Indigo Home: Layered Textures, Mid-Century & Considered Living

This project begins in a thoughtfully composed hallway, where skirting and staircase spindles are painted in Little Greene’s ’Livid’ creating a contrast with Little Greene’s soft’ Aquamarine’ walls. Brass lights from Tala add a warm glow, inviting you into the dining room wrapped in House of Hackney’s dramatic ‘Plantasia’ wallpaper in Indigo. Dark navy glossed woodwork stands out against the mid-century Mackintosh sideboard and a walnut burr secretaire, grounding the space with depth and character. An oversized Normann Copenhagen Bell Pendant hangs above a long, narrow vintage Italian dining table, surrounded by a carefully curated mismatch of iconic design-classic dining chairs.

Dark wooden floorboards lead you down a vintage Bert & May limestone step into a light-filled living area. Floor-to-ceiling glazing allows daylight to pour in, bouncing off a beautiful bespoke mirror. A pair of vintage Robin Day Forum oak and leather sofas sit atop a soft Ruggable rug, layered over herringbone floorboards. Pendant lights positioned around the room cast a warm, atmospheric glow setting the mood at the flick of a switch. A suspended Focus fireplace anchors the exposed brick wall, complemented by a vintage Knoll Parker armchair reupholstered in a Colours of Arley striped fabric in ‘Mulberry’ & ‘Coral’ adding a considered but striking pop of colour.
