A Family Home Reimagined for Modern Living

This project was all about unlocking the potential of a much-loved family home. Our clients had lived here for some time, but the layout no longer suited their lifestyle. The kitchen was cramped and dark, the rooms were disconnected, and there was no dedicated space for their two young children to play. They wanted to create a home that felt open, bright, and personal - a space where family life could unfold with ease.

We worked closely with them across the entire ground floor: managing the design, supplying bespoke joinery and fittings, and handling the full installation. The transformation was about more than aesthetics; it was about designing a home that felt both calm and connected.

We relocated the kitchen to the rear of the home and extended the footprint, making space for a dining area that opens onto the garden. A central kitchen island anchors the room, combining Corian Glacier White worktops with a rich wood-effect breakfast bar.

The double basin vanity adds a vibrant pop of chartreuse, with high-gloss fronts that reflect the surrounding light. We thought of the whole family when custom-making this vanity; adding a lower basin for the children that’s easy to reach.

The master bedroom deserved some attention, too. Designed to be a place for peace and quiet, we introduced muted textiles and a soft grey wall finish.

The standout piece is a bespoke, wraparound headboard crafted in black-stained oak. Complete with built-in shelving, lighting, and floating bedside drawers, it’s a perfectly integrated piece. The brass trim adds just the right amount of contrast and polish.
The Statement Piece That Pulls It All Together
The feeling of calm continues into the ensuite, where a monochrome palette sets a striking tone. A bold black dado line cuts across walls clad in crisp white herringbone tiles, bringing structure and contrast to an otherwise serene scheme.
Ensuite Bathroom: Graphic and Grounded
On the floor, large hexagonal tiles in black and white create a crisp, graphic base. Frameless shower glass keeps the space feeling open and light, leading into a vast walk-in shower with a matte black shower head and faucets.

The floating vanity in black-stained timber, topped with white quartz and matte black Vado brassware, ties the space together with quiet confidence. A final detail in a home designed with care at every step.
