Small Kitchen, Maximised Storage
The brief from our client for this project was to include all her existing appliances, plus a dishwasher, which was a huge priority to her, as well as maximising storage. We managed to exceed the client’s expectations by using every single inch of the space. We created extra storage by utilising the whole ceiling height, and we created a design which incorporated the full kitchen, wardrobe space and utility area requested, which other designers had said was impossible.
This project came with lots of problems to solve, as it was such a tight space and every inch had to be used and maximised. In addition to this, it’s a very old building with levelling issues, and we had to deal with a window which intruded into the already small kitchen space. To solve this we created a special panel in the angle of the kitchen to accommodate the window while still using the space to a maximum. We relocated the boiler, which allowed us to create the galley style kitchen with all the wall units in line.
