Modern Industrial Style Apartment In the Centre of London
For this beautiful one-bedroom, open-plan apartment, our goal was to honour the original 1990s kitchen layout while improving flow and accessibility. By opening the kitchen into the dining and living area, we created a much more welcoming space for our clients to enjoy during their stays in London.
This apartment had been in the family for decades, but it hadn’t been renovated in over 30 years. The brief was clear: to transform it into a modern, relaxed retreat that still felt like home.
So, we set about reimagining the space - blending old with new. We retained the character of the original design and lifted it with modern touches. The transformation included removing and rebuilding the bathroom, previously housed within a built-in metal pod. We exposed the existing steel beams and restored the ceilings, giving the apartment a contemporary edge while staying true to its heritage.
From the first sketch to the final installation, we worked closely with our clients to ensure their vision came to life. Right down to the smallest detail.
Here’s a closer look at the transformation.
