Having originally lived in what had been her husband’s bachelor pad, Barbara was keen to create the perfect family home when their second child was on the way. Moving a short distance from the North to West side of Clapham Common gave them the perfect house for Barbara to unleash her creativity and design skill on a place they could truly call home. Barbara put her interior design skills to work overseeing every detail of the refurbishment as it progressed. She created beautiful, but practical fitted furniture for every room in the house, adhering to her motto of practical, purpose and beauty. Spinning many plates, Barbara masterfully juggled the roles of project manager (for own renovation), interior designer (to her clients) and new mum to baby Amelie whilst the work took place. The result was a beautiful mid-century home that brought together her contemporary style with her husband’s love of antiques and collectables.
