The client’s brief was to convert the unused loft space above the master bedroom for a luxurious en-suite bathroom and His & Hers dressing rooms. Furthermore, Barbara Genda needed to create sufficient storage space so that the bedroom was totally free from furniture; therefore it was essential to use all the eaves space available. The sloping walls with eaves created the main challenge in this space and the solution was to create fully enclosed wardrobes and doors using every nook and cranny. The end result was stunning. The luxurious shower room was located in the central section of the loft space, with a large picture window to the breathtaking countryside views beyond. For the dressing rooms, a dark stained oak in graphite hues was chosen, enhanced by smoked mirrors to reflect the light. This clever scheme incorporated plenty of hanging space as well as drawers and shelves for additional storage.
