First stage was to grind the screeded floor left by the builder, to remove any high points, weak screed and contaminants. After that we applied a paint on damp proof membrane to control any moisture left in the slab. The next stage was a 4-5mm coating of screed throughout. Finally the install commenced, with a straight plank in all of the rooms, and the bespoke herringbone pattern in the hallway with single plank border and trimmed boards to the other rooms.
