deVOL’s first ceramic sink; beautiful proof that if you work hard enough at something, continue to take those uncertain risks and learn from your failures, you will be rewarded in the end. In the summer of 2015, we set out to start producing our own ceramic sinks here at Cotes Mill. We hired our first ceramicist, Edward Penn, a talented 3D Design graduate from Loughborough University, then we bought a large electric kiln and began to set up our small studio in the garage overlooking the River Soar.
