This bank of beautiful Shaker cupboards is our little utility display here at Cotes Mill. It's painted in deVOL's Pantry Blue with Carrara marble worktop and an under-mounted copper sink. The room is completely fitted and features our tongue and groove backboards. The design of this space is a little bit different to a kitchen, it's not just a mini kitchen with a sink under the window, it's different because it does a different job. People tend to need less space around their sink but want lots of worktop, so we tucked the sink in the corner, which instantly gives a more utilitarian feel, and creates lots of space to do laundry, potting up, flower arranging or washing the dog. The base cabinets are designed to be completely functional, two sets of double bins, one for rubbish and recycling and one for laundry. To the left of the bins is a wide open cabinet suitable for stacking and storing. There is also a washing machine behind fascia doors and then finally the sink cabinet.
