The first thing you notice about The Victoria Road NW6 Kitchen is its bold expanses of natural stone. The huge wall of Carrara marble is not ostentatious but beautifully practical, it contrasts so well with the thick handsome slab of Belgian blue limestone. The Pantry Blue painted cupboards seem grand and big in this space, hiding away fridges and storage, they allow the walls to be free of cupboards which gives the room a more grown up feel. Everything felt as if it would last forever; the beautiful French range cooker by Lacanche, the under-mounted copper sinks and deVOL's Aged Brass taps. Even the parquet flooring looked as if it could be there in a hundred years. We love to see our Shaker cupboards being used in such impressive homes; people have chosen the best materials and products to furnish their houses, knowing that they will age well and can be enjoyed for many years.
