This project saw the addition of a basement and the remodelling of the ground floor. A key feature is the elegant glass box located between the interior and the garden. This striking glass box houses the stair connecting the ground floor to the basement, provides significant light into the lower floor, and allows views out. As you move between levels or inhabit the kitchen, there is always a strong sense of the surrounding garden due to the glass. Additionally, having located the stairs ‘outside’ of the building more floor space is made available at both ground and basement floors.
