Micro Urban Plot – Maximises Value

This rear garden adjacent to a listed building is located in a central urban area. The garden space is large in area and makes an ideal opportunity for a small mews house.
The applicant tried twice to gain planning and failed. Then he approached Thomas Studio and Architect Garry Thomas secured planning permission. By addressing the planning constraints and dealing with local objection it is possible to overcome the planning hurdles. In this case the design was exceptional and on that basis the project won the hearts and minds of the planners and it was granted approval.

The mews style house was necessary to work with the adjoining listed building. Also part of the site was to become a formal partare garden space to enhance the setting of the listed building. The end result is a site with planning for a three bedroom mews house and an enhance garden setting.
