Off-Grid Eco Home – In Stunning Parkland Setting
A bespoke home adjacent to a river flood plan and a registered parkland setting. The house places living accommodation at first floor to maximise views of the countryside. With a spa, master bed suite, and cinema room at ground floor level this eco-house transforms a steeply levelled site.
The house is designed to be off-grid as it is remote from services. Energy is generated by gas generation and battery pack. Walls have a green living wall to conceal the bulk of the house into the steep bank.
A projecting mirror box thrusts the living room forward to enjoy 360 views of the landscape. The mirror clad reflects the green walls either side so that the whole mass is reduced further, completing the illusion of an invisible house within a grade 1 listed landscape setting. Project carried on whilst working at rra.
