Landscaper: Positive Garden

The brief was to design a pretty garden with improved privacy and some of the new seating to be nestled among the borders. The clients also wanted the new design to include a reasonable sized lawn and for the planting to provide give a natural but well-maintained look. It was also important that the new garden felt in keeping with the architecture and materials of the Victorian house.

For the new patio areas, we used reclaimed Yorkstone edged with clay pavers.

We made the garden more private using painted trellis on top of the garden walls.

Planting included a range of climbers around the boundary, plus roses, hydrangeas, grasses and herbaceous perennials. The latter included the spectacular Astilbe ‘Purpulanze’.
