The clients wanted their new garden to be an inviting green space, as well as providing a verdant outlook from the house. They were keen to have an oriental feel and for the garden to provide greater privacy and year-round interest.

We built space-saving raised beds with integral seating, and a curved path of charcoal flat pebbles between two Millboard decks.

We chose a largely green and white colour palette, with spots of accent colour. Plants included Nandina Domestica, Hakonechola Macra, Acer Palmatum ‘Dissectum’ and Zantedeschia Aethiopica, as well as the bamboo Fargesia 'Jiuzhaigou' and the evergreen jasmine Trachelospermum jasminoides.

The garden was lit with low voltage spike spotlights and wall lights and LED strip lighting beneath the seating.
