Solid oak seats and planters in a tiny courtyard - Richmond

East-facing, with sun and shade.

Making the best of a compact, courtyard. Room for plants, storage in the seating, as well as maximising the floor space. A great extension of the living space.

Big sleepers make solid structures. Oak benches situated in the sunny corner of the courtyard, provide space to relax and get close to the plants. Bespoke cushions have been ordered. © Deb Cass

Tidy stone work
Fast-growing Hydrangea anomala petiolaris, has beautiful white flowers and cinnamon coloured bark, that looks great in the winter. These climbers will eventually cover the wall and provide a good habitat for wildlife. © Deb Cass

These small blue fescue grasses are a lovely addition. The soft grey-blue foliage compliments this garden. © Deb Cass

Bitty and a bit dull before with some large plants limited to pots. The Acer, Lavender and Walnut were incorporated into the new design.
