These pergola arches frame a central walk out into the lawned area of the garden and are all planted with evergreen jasmine, (Trachelospermum jasminoides) and various types of scented climbing roses, so the jasmine provides foliage when the roses are bare, and the roses flower when the jasmine is not in bloom.
