This gray and white family kitchen has touches of gold and warm accents. The Diamond Cabinets that were purchased from Lowes are a warm grey and are accented with champagne gold Atlas cabinet hardware. The Taj Mahal quartzite countertops have a nice cream tone with veins of gold and gray. The mother or pearl diamond mosaic tile backsplash by Jeffery Court adds a little sparkle to the small kitchen layout. The island houses the glass cook top with a stainless steel hood above the island. The white appliances are not the typical thing you see in kitchens these days but works beautifully. Faire l’acquisition de surfaces sous les toits nécessite parfois une faculté de projection importante, ce qui fut le cas pour nos clients du projet Timbaud. Initialement configuré en deux « chambres de bonnes », la réunion de ces deux dernières et l’ouverture des volumes a permis de transformer l’ensemble en un appartement deux pièces très fonctionnel et lumineux. Avec presque 41m2 au sol (29m2 carrez), les rangements ont été maximisés dans tous les espaces avec notamment un grand dressing dans la chambre, la cuisine ouverte sur le salon séjour, et la salle d’eau séparée des sanitaires, le tout baigné de lumière naturelle avec une vue dégagée sur les toits de Paris. Tout en prenant en considération les problématiques liées au diagnostic énergétique initialement très faible, cette rénovation allie esthétisme, optimisation et performances actuelles dans un soucis du détail pour cet appartement destiné à la location.

This Kitchen was relocated from the middle of the home to the north end. Four steel trusses were installed as load-bearing walls and beams had to be removed to accommodate for the floorplan changes. There is now an open Kitchen/Butlers/Dining/Living upstairs that is drenched in natural light with the most undisturbed view this location has to offer. A warm and inviting space with oversized windows, gorgeous joinery, a curved micro cement island benchtop with timber cladding, gold tapwear and layered lighting throughout to really enhance this beautiful space.

Ahhhhh a 48" Thermador Pro Grand Dual Fuel Range with 6 burners and a griddle top......but wait....where is the range hood?? No need to fear, Zephyr is here!! Placing the range in front of a window was a unique and very nice setup, however that meant that there is no way to have a traditional range hood like most people are used to seeing. The solution is a flush mount range hood, the Zephyr Lux ( https://zephyronline.com/product/lux-island-range-hood/). It functions just as any range hood would and is wirelessly controlled with a remote control. It even features an LED light to illuminate your cooktop. Having a range in front of a window is possible, and all of us at Pike think it looks amazing! You can add a breakfast bar or counter to your existing kitchen units, or stick with a good old-fashioned dining table if you don’t need the extra work surfaces. There are a huge variety of island designs to cater to different needs – you can have sinks, ovens, hobs, wine storage and all sorts of drawers and organisers built-in, you can have separate bars and counters that extend from your island, or you could go for a kitchen island on wheels to make your kitchen layout more versatile.

How do I choose my kitchen units and cabinets?

It’s always best to overestimate how much kitchen storage you’ll need as we all tend to have a habit of filling up whatever current space we have to the maximum. Next you can consider kitchen cabinet style and colour. Shaker style cabinets and raised and recessed panel cabinets offer a more traditional kitchen cabinet look, while flat panel cabinet doors tend to lend more to the modern and contemporary style. However, going for raised or recessed panel work in a striking colour such as dark blue, green or black can still work with contemporary kitchen ideas. White kitchens can give a sleek and clean feel, but remember you may have to do a bit more cleaning of those cupboard doors if you want everything to stay shiny and fresh. Of course, grey kitchens are the neutral colour choice du jour and can be paired with pale and rich shades alike if you want your fitted kitchen cupboards to contrast with your worktop, splashback, floor, or all of the above.
