The Burbank Pool House was designed by Renee Dunn Architect’s as an addition which compliments the client’s existing home. The design embellishes the Hamptons’ theme throughout where extravagant travertine tiles are laid in a French pattern to frame the 12-meter pool. The pool pavilion houses a cosy outdoor living space situated around the stone clad fireplace. Entertaining needs are covered by the large games and dining space which also overlook the inground pool. A multipurpose room acts as a small kitchen and servery to the pool pavilion making entertaining a breeze. An indoor change room and outdoor shower accommodates all amenities while the added 2-car garage provided the owner with a total of five car spaces.

This covered seating area serves as an extension to the home with its suspended chair, outdoor bar and woodburner complete with natural wood cladding. This Quaruba outdoor fire has been fitted with insulating rear fire bricks and a heat shield allowing it to be placed closer to the wooden wall. We have also adapted the flue to pass through the roof and adapt into an insulated pipe. Available in three sizes, and a choice of fixed legs of wheels. All Quaruba models include glass doors and smoke pipe.

The prime location property in inner city Auckland was transformed to a beautiful functional space, landscaped gardens and outdoor living and entertaining worthy of its prestigious address. The focal point of the outdoor fire against a tall retaining wall is a great feature to complete the space and create a warm welcoming environment all year around. An outdoor kitchen under the sheltered louvre extends the living outside. The spa is snuck up into an unused space taking advantage of privacy and location. The work included excavation of a rockgarden to make space for parking, a level lawn for the kids to enjoy. We even got a trampoline in a corner otherwise not used. With fantastic garden lighting to show off the whole property to its best.
