Charles River Wine Cellars
This project has two tiers of wine cellar space for entertaining and enjoyment. The wine room, which houses the collection, has a tall ceiling height allowing for an arched barrel ceiling and use of a rolling library ladder for easy access to bottles stored in upper rows. Steps away, the tasting room includes ample room for stemware, decanters, dishwasher and beverage fridge. Mahogany wine racking, millwork, stone work and the decorative arched door create an inviting environment.

The room was built as part of a room/basement addition. There is a spiral stairway from the upstairs library to the lower level just outside the wine cellar.

A wine cellar that literally takes your breath away when you walk through the door. The Barrel ceiling with custom forged staves takes you inside the barrel. The Waterfall racking on both sides gives dimension to the room with a wine barrel as the focal point. The lighting valance around the room supports the lighting which illuminates that warm glow. A cork floor provides a unique look as well as protection for those bottles that may accidentally fall. The back of the custom door was completely covered by corks. The pull out computer drawer supports the computer inventory system attached to the individual metal wine tags attached to the racking. Photo taken by Inviniti Cellar Design

CellarMaker
CellarMaker was engaged to renovate an existing wine cellar that was built incorrectly originally. We removed all the existing materials and started from the wood studs and installed the correct vapor barrier system. The client's design intention was a traditional paneled mahogany wine cellar. This temperature controlled cellar houses over 1,000 bottles of wine in various formats.
Vintage Cellars
A traditional wine cellar built in the basement storage area. High volume storage with a touch of display was the focus of the room.
This beautifully rustic and modern custom wine cellar in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California is inside one of your favorite A-List Celebrity's home. The design of the cellar was centered around a large amount of bottle storage with minimal wine displays. This unique space also has room for wine case storage, as well as horizontal display on top of high reveal display.
Prior to proper vapor barrier and insulation being installed into the room, this space was a simple basement storage area. The entire room was gutted, and stripped down to the studs. A 6mm plastic was placed covering every wall and crevice to ensure that the room would be sealed completely. Spray foam insulation was applied three inches thick around, followed by green board mold resistant drywall.
The racking is made of all heart redwood - a fantastic choice for a custom wine room such as this. Redwood is great to use because of its ability to resist rot and mold, as well as looking great (or even better) as the wood cures over time.
The large wine cellar has room for unique large format bottles, as well as special champagne bottle display. It was a pleasure working on this project - the owner is a great guy (and host too) and we look forward to working together again.

This Louisiana wine cellar design boasts many convenient attributes. Among these are adjustable shelves in the back.
Also shown here are individual bottle racks, and lattice diamond bin racks.
The entire racking was crafted from Mahogany, one of the most sought-after materials among builders. This type of wood is durable and can withstand the humid conditions in refrigeration wine cellars.
The lovely Early American stain on the racks gives them a warm look, which creates a cozy vibe in the wine storage space.
