“Mine was the Brooklyn Brownstone in Maria's photographs. Working with her was an extraordinary experience. She created the architectural design for our third floor kitchen and our downstairs duplex renovations, coming up with a series of design ideas that were both beautiful and within our budget. She helped select our contractor and collaborated with him during each stage of both projects. She made weekly visits to the job site, and just as importantly, the contractor would call Maria with questions as the work progressed thereby avoiding costly “do overs.” She completed both projects within our budget and even more surprisingly, on time! The results of her design work and project management are there for you to see on her design pages. I would recommend her unequivocally.”

“When my husband and I took on the project of completely renovating an 1846 Greek Revival house in the back country of Greenwich, we ran into difficulties with the architect we had hired. Doug VanderHorn came to our rescue! Many architects might have been unwilling to take on a project that had already started, but Doug, to my everlasting gratitude, not only agreed to work with us, but brought fresh, new, creative and improved ideas to the table. His taste is impeccable and he ended up helping me with all kinds of related issue like bathroom tiles, special effects in moldings and fireplaces and placement of furniture in a difficult room. “Don Richardson was such a pleasure to work with as his design, creativity, knowledge and professionalism were brilliant. Several times, Don went the extra mile (literally) to bring samples, discuss decisions and patiently explore alternatives. His rapport with the crew was fabulous and led to very smooth execution of the project, basically a guest house on our property for our extended family. Don designed the bedroom of our young grandson as a totally sweet cabin room with a stunning view of the trees around it. Our grandson woke up the first morning in his new room, whispering to his mother that he was in the middle of a forest!”
