“If you’re looking for a very personable and enjoyable design process for your next home, look no further. After moving from out of state, we had purchased a view lot in a newly developed gated community and driving through one weekend, we stopped and talked to a neighbor who was working in their yard about their beautiful home and they recommended that we call the designer and gave us the number to Summit Ridge. We had talked to two others designers beforehand but after meeting with all three, there was no question who we wanted to work with and we couldn't be happier. The design of our home not only fits our new northwest lifestyle but its entire design was created around us. Each room was carefully planned out and is a reflection of our lifestyle. Highly recommended.”

“Departure came out to our property after the 2013 Build-It-Green tour and talked to us about potential of building an ADU. A year later, we decided to move forward with building an ADU and again, contacted Dan Lajoie. He came out to our property with the notes and ideas discussed the previous year and was willing to spend a long time discussing our hopes for our ADU. He was able to take our ideas and create a beautiful space that works perfectly for us and our property. Throughout the beginning of the process Dan was available to answer our questions, he spent time sharing pictures and showing us ideas as well as meeting with us regularly to look at his progress. He always took our perspective into account and reworked some of the drafts to ensure we were getting what we wanted; but he also had fantastic ideas that we had not thought of and did a great job inserting his personal character into the project. Overall, we have been really impressed with Dan's patience and his ability to turn a small space into something so functional and beautiful.”

“I've used Vanessa twice: once to help me choose colors for our bathroom and hall remodel, and once to ameliorate a mistake I made in choosing a wall color that had already been painted in our den. Both times her eye was spot-on. For the bathroom and hall, she helped me choose the perfect colors for the vibe I was going for. In the instance of the color correction, she was able to assess the problem immediately (undertone of my couch color didn't work with the undertone in the wall color) and correct it just as quickly. We have now put up the new color that Vanessa suggested and we LOVE it. Vanessa also made excellent suggestions regarding floor, counter finishes, and light fixtures for our bathroom remodel. I can't say enough good about Vanessa and her skills; I have worked with two other color consultants and neither had the eye that Vanessa has. In addition, she was the only consultant who "brought' the color to me; she carries a briefcase containing 8.5x11 sheets of every Benjamin Moore color. No tiny chips or fan decks here! As far as scheduling: Vanessa was super responsive to both phone message and text, and we were able to schedule appointments in a reasonable time frame. She arrived to consult right on time and gave my project her full attention and a lot of time spent. As part of her service, she puts together a nice notebook with recommendations, color choices and sheens, and other bits of advice regarding color. Having ColorMoxie NW involved in our remodel has made a huge difference.”

“Chris has unusual talent for developing great designs. Our remodel won the best remodel in class in a recent contest in the Portland area. Everyone loves our house. We started with a typical chopped up ranch style home with small rooms which he combinied into two large rooms with defined spaces that work for two or twenty people.”

“I have had the pleasure of working with Erich on several projects throughout the years. On building projects, hundreds of problems will arise and how they are dealt with determines the true professionalism of an architect. Erich has never missed a beat on solving the problems with me on custom door and window orders and has come up with very creative solutions. It would simplify Erich's skills to just say he is detail oriented, he goes far beyond just details. He looks at the job as a whole and somehow manages to break every component down into sub assemblies and how they interact with each other. Not just how it's to be designed and built, but does the item work aesthetically in the overall design. Simply put, he is a pro, an absolute pro.
