“Alice Dodson designed a house for us located on mountain property in Buncombe County, NC, in 2016. We love the house plan she designed for us and recommend her without reservation! She met every deadline she set for herself, often completing ahead of her self-imposed deadlines. She is very creative and extremely meticulous in her designs. She exceeded our expectations based on work we have seen by other architects in this area. She collaborates skillfully and willingly with other building professionals in the process. She has many years of experience and you can see this in her work product. Her fees are fair and she is very easy to discuss fees, deadlines and design decisions with. She is very knowledgeable about all parts of the building process that are not necessarily a part of her architectural design. She is very cost-conscious on behalf of her client--frequently advising us of ways to save money that we had not considered.”

The project was complicated by the need to match up roof lines from the original house, a added greenhouse entry and the new gable roof line of the patio cover.
