“From the time we first met Scott in person, we felt completely confident in his abilities to help us design our first home. Scott was extremely personable and made us feel at ease throughout the entire process, which was no easy feat since we have little experience with the home design process. He is very knowledgeable in Michigan code and energy-efficient homes and made some great suggestions on how we could increase the R value of the house, which was very important to us. He offered advice about which type of insulation to use, what windows would be most cost-effective yet eco-friendly and how geothermal could be used in our home. On the exterior, he offered many ideas on how to give a new build some character and make it feel inviting. Scott delivered our plans very quickly and when we had revisions, they were done promptly. When we decided to change the roof pitch to add more head space to the second story of our cape cod, he called to discuss truss design and potential increased home costs to ensure we were making the best decision.
