“Kim Hoover designed our house. During the process, she continued to turn challenges into opportunities to improve the project. Working off an existing sub-optimal foundation, she created a plan to maximize a great view, nestle the house into the landscape, and turned what would have been a dreary basement into a sun-filled room. She worked well with clients -- always listening throughout the process -- and with builders and contractors. Kim takes responsibility for her work, is on time and on budget. Her aesthetic sense is classic but imaginative. She's resourceful about new products on the market as well as time-honored techniques to make a house a showplace. In each stage of the process, Kim added value. We cannot wait to work on another project with her.”

“Robert Marrapodi is a full service architect capable of working with any design style and with any budget. We asked him to develop a plan to open up our 1950s ranch and give us a nice modernist look with lots of light and bringing the outdoor beauty in. He worked with our budget to find the best products and finishes we could afford and gave us realistic options and solutions that were within our reach. He also made some great suggestions on the fly to deal with issues that came up during the construction. He worked really well with the contractor and was hands on enough to ensure the project stayed on track and within scope. He has a terrific aesthetic and a good feel for what the customer wants. We especially like that he did not push us to change style or direction and respected what we were trying to achieve. We really enjoyed working with him and recommend him very highly. “We worked with Blejer Architecture to renovate our entire home (cellar, basement, 1st floor). He was amazing. A great communicator, extremely patient, professional, and collaborative. He delivered everything promptly, and had quick turnaround times on all of our ad hoc requests. Our house is old and wasn't in great condition so he was fantastic at helping us troubleshoot and find solutions that were within our budget, while also making sure we were following DOB standards.”

“I originally hired Steve 5 years ago (2009) to build a custom loft-ladder in my new apartment, and after meeting him I quickly decided to use him for the entire apartment renovation. The results were of such high quality, and delivered with so little BS, that I have subsequently hired him twice for custom furniture and now am hiring him again to combine my apartment with the one next door; a huge job. “Robin did a great job in making our whole house extension and renovation come out perfectly She listened to our needs and came up with creative and beautiful solutions. She managed the subcontractors as well. She was a great source for tradesman and worked well with all of them while demanding exacting workmanship from them. SHe was great in spatial juxtapositions and use of materials to create the warm and modern space we wanted.”
