She created the architectural design for our third floor kitchen and our downstairs duplex renovations, coming up with a series of design ideas that were both beautiful and within our budget. She helped select our contractor and collaborated with him during each stage of both projects. She made weekly visits to the job site, and just as importantly, the contractor would call Maria with questions as the work progressed thereby avoiding costly “do overs.” She completed both projects within our budget and even more surprisingly, on time! “I hired Rebecca Poole to draw up plans for a new 2 car garage that I will be having built. When we met with her, and I explained what we were looking for, she took some measurements to begin work. After a very short time, she notified me that the elevations were done, and after that, the final plans were generated. All of the plans were of excellent quality.....very professional !! “Gail is a very talented architect, a pleasure to work with, and has unusual creativity. We began design of a new home with Gail Hallock, Inc. in April, 2011 after working with a number of other architects for about a year on preliminary designs. It was important to us that the architect understood the project holistically. Most seemed to concentrate on the exterior and not the livability & flow of the interior - requirements important to us. Gail deftly sketched throughout our conversations making sure we were on the same page. She was adept at picking up our 'style'. She does not produce cookie-cutter homes. Her drawings, plans and schedules are clear and complete. We have wanted to be ecologically careful and design a home that is respectful of environmental factors. She has been a great support in these areas. She has also been a big help in designing our soft interior designs, carpets, window treatments, furniture, pillows etc. She helped us repurpose furniture that compliments our vision and has sensitively advised us on moving on items that do not compliment our project design. She has an eye for light, color and simplicity that I appreciate. She is the whole package.”

Everything was very custom, including layout, roof connection to main structure, footer supports, storage underneath, drainage, electric, materials, etc. Stephen's drawings and materials were perfect and executed within the timeline required by zoning review for permits, etc. He worked really well with our contractor and other local city people that needed specific follow-up clarifications. Stephen made it really easy to make adjustments as appropriate as the project went on. Stephen was very responsive, easy to reach and very professional to work with.
