“My wife and I knew immediately upon first meeting Terry that we would be working with a kindred spirit who would guide us through our first home building project. It had always been a dream of ours to work with an architect to design a house we would call home. Terry was able to coax out of us what we wanted in a home but never had the language to describe properly. He transformed our vague concepts into a home that perfectly meets our families needs and nurtures our souls. The exterior of the house looks like it grew organically out of the ground, adapting perfectly to our challenging site. Even better, Terry was able to tailor his services to meet our budget while still achieving these spectacular results. “In 2011 I engaged the services of Smook Architecture to conceive, design and oversee the construction of a new, 2,600 SF, hurricane-code compliant, second-home, on the water, in Centerville, MA. The home was completed in July 2012 and we are extremely pleased with the finished home, with the details and design elements it includes and with the many compliments it engenders for its contextural design, choice of materials, placement on the site and practicality of use. I would use Smook Architecture again and can recommend their collaborative, insightful services to others without reservation. This was a fun process where our wishes were respected, yet professionally challenged, when appropriate, where a design concept was presented, refined and then adhered to, and where the supervision of the building process was handled professionally, firmly and timely. I would not hesitate to use Smook Architecture for future projects, in fact, I would look forward to it!”

“My wife and I used Genevieve to create a renovation plan for a very old house in North Grafton, MA, originally built in 1833. The project is still underway and I don't have finished pictures, but the work she did to move the kitchen, add a new bathroom, a new master bedroom with bathroom and walk-in closet and create functional storage was exactly what the house needed. She also made all of the plan without having to move doors and windows. Just a brilliant plan. As soon as I have finished photos, I will update this post. I highly recommend her services.”
