“We own a well designed and built 1926 bungalow, which had a not-so-well designed addition in the 1950s. We loved and treasured the original part of the house, but wanted to remove the addition and add a master bedroom suite and home office that would blend in with the charm of the original house and its steep-pitched (12/12) tile roof. We talked to three architects (paid two to draw concept sketches) but no one could – or wanted to take the time to - determine how to tie into the stick-built roof and create an addition large enough to meet our needs but not overwhelm the original structure. With Mark’s attention to detail – and a builder and roofer (who found and installed matching 1926 Ludowici tile) with the same craftsman dedication – we have a wonderful addition to our home.”
