“I am an architect used to working on institutional buildings, not an easy client at all. SSH completely renovated my 3-story house in the French countryside. The workmanship was outstanding and prices were fair. Stuart knows the methods and materials needed to renovate such an old house. For example he completely insulated the house while preserving the original ceiling moldings. You genuinely cannot see that insulation was added. When he hired an outside crew, he made sure their guys did work as good as his own. There was always someone on site who spoke English. He and his crews were respectful, even friendly. At the beginning there were serious schedule slips, which drove me nuts. Stuart not only never lost his temper, he listened to my sometimes hysterical criticism. He hired admin staff and cleaned up his scheduling procedures. By the end of the project I knew exactly what to expect and when. If I decide to redo one of the outbuildings, I will definitely call SSH.”
