“I was looking for someone deeply experienced in technical domains, (architecture, construction, and fabrication) to fit the requirements of my custom home, the Galer Street House. Thomas was tasked with production of the interior custom cabinetry and associated custom woodworking. From our first meeting, Thomas’s communication, experience and broad background gave me confidence that he would understand the complex geometries and be able to deliver the high-end quality needed for this application. From the custom handmade walnut cabinets, custom furniture-like features and being always available to help me when the details needed his attention, he delivered. I was not disappointed. In addition, when challenged by architectural details and budget constraints on the exterior of the home, Thomas, owner of Studio Walker Architects, Inc., was able to take a large burden off my shoulders with his durable design/build approach, which was substantially less expensive and also resulted in a better overall appearance. Thanks, Thomas!”

“Lane Williams took our dated and very tired looking 1960’s one story, pitched roof home with a daylight basement and transformed it into a beautiful modern home with strong horizontal and vertical planes and cantilevered masses. Lane's vision for the house really came together when we decided to spend the money to expand the carport to two cars. We were thinking it might not work, but when he showed us the renderings we both just thought wow – it balanced everything out and got us a look that was spectacular. “Highest recommendation! We absolutely love the new custom home that Martin, with Concept Architecture, designed for us. Martin took our ideas and some very site specific requirements and created a home that is so much more than we expected. Martin is friendly, professional and REALLY listens. The very first draft sketches proved that he understood what we wanted and needed. He worked with the county to meet all of the special requirements for building on a slope near water.”

“We genuinely LOVED working with Highland Design. The product they delivered, and the communication was genuinely outstanding. We could not have been happier with our experience and have referred several friends and family members! Jeff and his team not only cared about the project, but about us as people, which made all the difference. They were there to support when things got tough and were willing to increase the scope of their work to pick up new elements of our project like cabinet layout. “My experience with BarnPros was top notch. During the planning process they were extremely helpful in making some changes as well as offering suggestions. I worked with Joel Gustafson for several months during the planning process and he was great to work with. When to barn arrived I had a local contractor put up the barn and then did much of the finish work myself. BarnPros was there to answer questions and help throughout the process. The reaction I get from people when they see the barn amazing. It is so well built that in a tornado, I'd head for the barn.”

“We have worked with Wai/GorrnyDesign on several renovations and restoration projects of our 1917 Craftsman house. Over the last several years, those projects have included: the addition of a front porch on the house, a kitchen remodel with pantry, fireplace brickwork and mantel restoration and the renovation of our sun room (which is now my absolute favorite room in the house!). We have the highest regard for Wai/Gorny's work—both in terms of design and of knowledge about houses from this era. Our relationship with Alexandra from Wai/Gorny has been a real three-way partnership--between us, the contractor and her. She definitely has opinions and perspectives to offer based on her expertise, but she always listens to our needs and desires, and is committed to finding the best designs after factoring in our input. She is very approachable and willing to meet with us anytime we've requested getting together. Best of all, she has a great sense of humor and has been a lot of fun to work with! Alexandra has also been an excellent advocate for us with the city and the permitting process related to one of our projects. When there were questions from the City, she promptly and thoroughly addressed their information needs. We have just embarked on another project with Wai/Gorny--this time a bathroom remodel and some updates to several bedrooms. She's loaned us personal copies of her books and provided web resources and links where we could get ideas. As you can tell, we keep coming back to Wai/Gorny for all of our remodeling and renovation projects because of the quality of her ideas, designs, and ability to work with our contractors and subcontractors.”

“Robert Reed is a fantastic architect who's work is a reflection of his attention to detail and of the needs of his clients. Robert's use of natural materials combined with his creative eye for bringing light into a structure make his homes some of nicest you will find in the northwest.
