“From the moment I entered Design West, I knew I would be in good hands for my kitchen renovation project. I had looked into three other kitchen companies, but none could compare to Design West. To begin with, I was impressed with the way they were forthcoming with their designs. The other companies I explored would not relinquish any plans until a deposit was given. Design West listened to the ideas I had, came up with an initial design and then emailed the plans back and forth for about two weeks, making changes as needed, and did this work prior to any deposit being put down. A feeling of trust resulted. From the owner of Design West, Gerard, to the designer, Michelle, I always felt they were honest with me and had my best interest in mind. Gerard went beyond selling me quality cabinets by connecting me with an amazing contractor, Jamie Aluzzo. I worked most intensely with Michelle, the kitchen designer. She shared her expertise, offered advice, money saving ideas, and really listened to what I wanted. We exchanged emails on a daily basis, often more than once a day and sometimes on the weekends. Michelle never grew tired of my endless questions and different ideas and changes I thought of and responded with her own ideas and expertise. This exchange went on for months! Michelle made sure that everything was in place before ordering and came to my home to make one last measurement and discussion. Once the cabinets arrived, she was in constant contact with the builder and coordinated the installation. When the kitchen was complete, Michelle came over to see the final outcome and presented me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers! From start to finish, Michelle gave her personal touch and I felt we had developed a friendship. Michelle, Gerard, Jamie and each member of the installation crew really cared about my family and my kitchen. Working with Design West was an amazing experience. “Custom Cabinets. Mike built an amazing custom wardrobe for our bedroom and it is just beautiful. Mike was so easy to work with and designed the unit to meet our storage and design needs all within our budget. We are now contemplating having a Entertainment Center w/ Shelving built to house our TV and electronics in our family room. Custom pieces are fairly expensive, but they add so much value to the home and solve so many storage and design issues. We are very happy with the results.”

“Tim completed our kitchen/bath project on schedule and as budgeted. In an old house with everything out of square, Tim installed new windows, upper & lower kitchen cabinets, added a Butler's pantry area, and built in bathroom storage shelving. He designed and built custom cabinetry to give us a breakfast bar and island which wraps around a central chimney which we love. Tim worked efficiently and neatly to meet interim deadlines for countertop installation, electrical & plumbing work, as well as providing coordination for the entire project. I would not hesitate to work with Tim on a future project and highly recommend anyone considering a kitchen/bath remodel meet with him to discuss their project.”

“Our 1930s center hall New England colonial was sorely in need of a new kitchen. We had lots of ideas, plenty of pictures and no experience in kitchen design. We are so glad we hired Maple Tree Cabinetmakers. Josh and his brother delivered more than we imagined, on time and within budget! We told Josh what we liked and disliked in our kitchen, he listened, really listened, and came up with a design that embodied and greatly improved on our vision. For example, Josh suggested a walnut counter top for the breakfast room hutch, reused the original bin pulls,hinges and glass front doors. The original hutch had six small drawers just under the counter. Josh made 3 wide, much more useful drawers, yet faced them so it looks like 6 small drawers still! Love it! We enclosed the stoop out side the back door, creating a mudroom. Josh built a bead board cubby, with walnut bench, and shelves above. A huge improvement for a family with a dog! Josh also suggested curved brackets at the end of the cabinet runs,; enclosing the refrigerator with panels that match the cabinetry; and he replaced the old built in ironing board with a shallow cupboard for keys, a walnut counter with USB ports for a charging station and two shelves below for old fashioned cook books.We could not be more pleased with our Maple Tree Cabinetmakers Custom Cabinets and would hire them again in a nano-second!”

“Two things mark Jim's work. Impeccable workmanship and remarkable taste. We have given him four projects, none of which were of simple design and construction, and the result has always been several steps beyond the original concept. His ability to understand the scope of the piece, and the need, and then take it to another level is, to me who knows something about craftsmanship, his gift. We only had to wait a few weeks for completion on one piece, and he never came in over budget. Jim completed four pieces for us, the first of which began in 1995. His work was such that we installed three more of Jim's creations in our house and, when we buy the brownstone this fall we will return to Jim's drawing board for help”
