“I am an interior designer in Portland, Oregon, USA, and I had been looking for the perfect chest for a client's entry for several years. After seeing a charming 18th century French commode at Nicholas Wells Antiques from a newsletter he emailed me, I emailed a photo of the chest to my clients. The clients LOVED it, but were a bit hesitant to order an antique from England. Nicholas Wells made the cartoning and shipping absolutely painless for my clients, and the beautiful commode is now happily ensconced in their entry. Both John and Chrissie Masters have a wealth of knowledge on not just the Art Deco period, but across the board when it comes to furniture and furnishings from a variety of design eras, and I encourage anyone looking for unique pieces or sourcing assistance to contact them directly, or head down to their beautiful premises in Westerham. There will be something there to tempt you, I am sure... Their Art Deco range is very elegant, is beautifully crafted, and very much reveals their passion for and appreciation of this era. Now, where can I fit that cocktail cabinet into my own home....?”
