They also fitted solid surface worksurfaces to the kitchen, utility and bathroom. They are always professional, punctual & polite. They communicate really well before, during and after any job. “We added an orangery to extend our existing kitchen to create a large open plan room for kitchen, dining and seating. We chose Westbury mainly because we wanted a bespoke solution, they clearly had lots of experience of what does (and doesn't) work and they came up with designs that we really liked which brought to life and greatly improved our own half-baked ideas! We used Westbury to do everything....design, planning permission, building works (foundations, knocking through etc), building the orangery, installing underfloor central heating (including most of the plumbing), lighting and other electrics, internal floor tiling and they made and installed various bespoke fittings to help integrate the 'old' and 'new' areas into a single living space. We found all the Westbury staff to be friendly and professional and importantly they kept us well informed throughout. Most have been with the company for years and are passionate about doing a good job. Any building work always comes with an element of disruption and the real test of any firm is how they deal with the unforeseen issues that inevitably crop up - we didn't have many, but all were sorted promptly and professionally. Overall the whole design and build experience was a pleasure and the end result has exceeded our expectations.”

“Keith Barke did a great job for us, converting a garage into a living room and a small bedroom into a study. The major job was the conversion and though we knew roughly what we wanted, Keith came up with excellent ideas on such things as the heating and lighting that really improved the final design and functionality of the room. He also liaised with the council on the required building regulations. The smaller room is an awkward shape but, again, Keith came up with a smart solution involving a bespoke desk that has made the best use of the space - it wasn't something we could have visualised without his expertise. Very friendly and attentive service - not just Keith but all of his team - and the whole job was completed on time and on budget. Suffice to say, we're very pleased, and we're just about to use the firm again on another room. Highly recommended.”

“We are writing this review to highly recommend Fenlake Construction as a General Contractor. We hired Fenlake Construction to build our single storey rear kitchen extension which was was built to an excellent standard and exactly how we wanted. The initial project only consisted of the construction of a kitchen extension but due to us being very happy with the work being delivered we then asked Fenlake Construction to carry out the kitchen fit-out as well. Rob and his team were punctual and attended Site everyday. Rob's team was very friendly and stuck to all their commitments. Rob, project managed the whole project from start to finish and managed to resolve all unforeseen problems throughout the whole process with minimal time and cost impact. All other trades such as plumbing, electrics and plastering etc. were manged effectively with minimal disruption to our day to day activities in the house. We were extremely happy with the attention to detail and quality Rob and his team put in to their work and appreciated all the advice regarding design and choice of materials that was given to us throughout the construction process. The site was kept tidy and the project was delivered on time and on budget. “Honest, very well-priced, customer-focused professional contracting with a flair for original ideas and helpful advice based on needs whether at the design stages or as they may be (unexpectedly) encountered during the job. I have engaged the services of JHF for several projects, each very different and each with their own set of unique demands for flexibility, professional solutions and a definite 'complete ownership' of the project through to full completion and indeed follow-up to ensure the clients' (my personal) satisfaction. I am not an easy customer to work for as my expectations are high and I have significant trades experience myself. I will continue to use their services exclusively, as there is no reason to look anywhere else once you've found the right provider. Deadlines always met and assurance of quality never compromised here. Throughout the latter part of 2019 and early 2020, JHF managed and executed the following works for me: Totally new kitchen incl. appliances, all fixtures, complete, finished job. Office remodelling - walls moved and constructed, ceilings and lighting reworked, doors and window installations-brickwork and framing, painting, complete, finished job. (5,000 sq ft) Private exec shower room, complete construction and appliances supplied. Electrical reworks in a warehouse environment. Installation & comissioning of (6 meter overhead) heaters and fan systems. Draw curtains at height. Outdoor photo-timed security lighting systems, full premises protection. ... and a variety of miscellaneous smaller projects- all eaually professionally finished with zero defects. I will say this much: When I add an extension to my home next year I will be engaging JHF services for all the major works - no contest !”

“DMDL carried out a total external and interior refurbishment and extension our property over a period of over12 months using in the main, directly employed labour directly supervised at all times by Derek Mason himself or one of his excellent site managers. The quality of work was outstanding and we are delighted with the results. Nothing was too much trouble and our frequent changes to the architect's original specification were accepted without question and with full co-operation. The scale of the refurbishment was extensive and we effectively started with a four walled shell and re-created the house from scratch. The work included the installation of underfloor heating, a complete electrical and plumbing refit, as well as new DG windows, roof and exterior cladding. On the few occasions we queried costs during the project, these were either fully explained and justified or adjusted immediately. The helpfulness and courtesy shown to us by DM and all of his team was outstanding and even though our project has been completed he remains in regular contact with us and has helped us with a number of minor 'snagging' issues that have inevitably arisen. These have been dealt with without hesitation. To summarise: DMDL is a totally reliable building contractor, managed with integrity by its directors, and which provides top quality work in accordance with pre-determined project timescales. We have no hesitation in recommending this company if you are considering major or minor building work.”
