“Norwood Developments built us our dream home in 2009. It started off with a blended family that needed more room and an extra large garage. Bruce had nice lot on Shepherd Crescent backing onto University land. He worked with us on an open concept custom design to incorporate our wants and needs. The final design was 1945 sq feet with huge kitchen, open to living and dining area. main floor office and laundry with a grand entry. Also a 930 sq foot attached garage. Throughout the building stage Lana guided us with design and finishing ideas. Color and style choices were made easy on plumbing and lighting fixtures, impressive bulkheads and design accents to truly make our dream home something special and unique. A custom designed wall unit for our 65" tv and custom component cabinet with matching fireplace top all complimenting the stunning kitchen to name a few. 10 years later the quality materials and craftsmanship have withstood the test of time. The few minor issues we had were quickly resolved by Bruce. “We hired them to do a full renovation on the main floor. They were not pushy in getting us started on the project which I appreciated. We met with them a few times starting in Nov and did not sign the contract until March. Their allowances were spot on. All the trades people working for them were all very respectful and did a great job. They went above and beyond the scope of work set out for them, ex. the electricians changed all the plugs and switches to a more modern look, hooked up 2 extra lights... The cabinets are custom and the cabinet manager, Spencer Dick, was very conscientious about the work being done in his shop. The thing that sold me on Haven was having the design consultant, Donna Senterre, part of the project, I was lost at what goes together, it was overwhelming and that is why we had done nothing up til then. Donna Senterre was phenomenal! She helped in every aspect of the interior design. She was the go to person if we had any questions and helped pick out everything we needed for our home. She would go shopping with us and then understood what we liked and disliked. She was always there to help make the process painless. We absolutely love the job they did!! The only complaint I would have is the cleaning crew. After they left the laminate floor had puddles all over (my husband was home so he cleaned it up) and the cupboards still had wood shavings in them, the subway tile in the kitchen was not cleaned and the new windows were only done in the inside. I would ask if I could clean myself and get $$ off.”
