“Steve and his crew at Made to Last Building Renovations did the installation of our commercial millwork in the Shaw Retail store in Victoria. The project was very complex containing wood columns, hanging wood bulkheads, oversize wood panels that needed to be scribed to drywall. Steve and his team had no difficulty with this install and executed it to a high level of quality. Communication was really good, they answer their phones when I need to get a hold of them and they are proactive on updating us on the status of the job. We are based out of Calgary AB, so it can be difficult to manage a job from out of town, Made to Last pretty well managed the entire install of the project. Billing and was fair and professionally done and there were no change order surprises. We would most certainly use Made to Last Building Renovations again in the future and are happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a solid, honest, quality oriented contractor.”

“Alair Homes Nanaimo is the best! They completed the reno of our original 1980's west coast home almost two years ago. We completely redid the interior - kitchen, flooring, 3 baths, two fireplaces and the laundry room. Dan and Stu were professional and a joy to work with. I always felt they kept our best interests in mind and were very conscientious in managing our budget and time constraints. The entire project came in on time (under six weeks!), and on budget and we could not be happier with the end result. We plan on using them again this spring to update the exterior and our garage... Thank you Alair!!”

“We were very impressed with Alair Homes when they built our home in late 2014/early 2015. One thing we have found outstanding is the work done under their warranty over one year later. No item is too small for them to fix up so the customer is totally satisfied with the work they did. Things like paint touch ups, nail pops and a cabinet door being a little out of line were fixed quickly. We had a wood beam at the top of our entrance which had twisted and they replaced the center beam and supporting timbers and it looks better than when it was first done. In talking to some other people who have had homes built by some other builders they have certainly not had the same level of service that we've had after the home is built. We only had to send one email to get everything done, where our friends had to harrass the builder for months to get some things fixed. This is something very important which people should check out when they hire a company to build their home.”

“Heidi and Greg of GNB Builders were our general contractors (from site prep to final landscaping) for a large addition (designed by Dan McGrath http://danielmcgrath.ca/), to our existing small home. Heidi and Greg were extremely easy to work with, and responsive to our questions, concerns or suggestions. During our build, we were not able to be onsite very often, as we lived in a different province. Heidi and her assistant, Kelsey Ann were very good at communicating with us through the building process, which took 13 months. I would absolutely hire GNB again, if we were to build another house...but that is not in the books because we love the one they built for us! From friends who "know" we have received the highest compliments on our home and the quality of the work.”

“Over the last 6 years, we have had the great pleasure of working with Woodcrafters Group on 3 of our home renovations. They have demolished a large sunken bar and rebuilt , involving a lot of millworker and cabinetry. In 2011, they undertook a complete upper floor addition, including framing, structural work, new roof, and windows, all trades involved exterior and interior. And lastly in 2013, they demolished and rebuilt a full new front porch and driveway. On all our projects we have found them to be 100 % professional, the projects came in on budget and on time and the trades were reliable , helpful and friendly. We have recommended them, and would use them again with no hesitatation.”
