“Steve and his crew at Made to Last Building Renovations did the installation of our commercial millwork in the Shaw Retail store in Victoria. The project was very complex containing wood columns, hanging wood bulkheads, oversize wood panels that needed to be scribed to drywall. Steve and his team had no difficulty with this install and executed it to a high level of quality. Communication was really good, they answer their phones when I need to get a hold of them and they are proactive on updating us on the status of the job. We are based out of Calgary AB, so it can be difficult to manage a job from out of town, Made to Last pretty well managed the entire install of the project. Billing and was fair and professionally done and there were no change order surprises. We would most certainly use Made to Last Building Renovations again in the future and are happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a solid, honest, quality oriented contractor.”

“Alair Homes Nanaimo is the best! They completed the reno of our original 1980's west coast home almost two years ago. We completely redid the interior - kitchen, flooring, 3 baths, two fireplaces and the laundry room. Dan and Stu were professional and a joy to work with. “We were very impressed with Alair Homes when they built our home in late 2014/early 2015. One thing we have found outstanding is the work done under their warranty over one year later. No item is too small for them to fix up so the customer is totally satisfied with the work they did. Things like paint touch ups, nail pops and a cabinet door being a little out of line were fixed quickly. We had a wood beam at the top of our entrance which had twisted and they replaced the center beam and supporting timbers and it looks better than when it was first done. In talking to some other people who have had homes built by some other builders they have certainly not had the same level of service that we've had after the home is built. We only had to send one email to get everything done, where our friends had to harrass the builder for months to get some things fixed. This is something very important which people should check out when they hire a company to build their home.”

Prior to our deciding to go ahead with our re-modelling project, Jeremy provided us with detailed advice on its design and followed this up with a comprehensive cost estimate for all labour and materials, including sub-trades, required to complete the job. Once we signed the contract, he helped us with the selection of tiles, shower glass, bath, toilet, vanity and all other accessories. During the renovation Jeremy and Brian (the principal tradesman) did an exceptionally good job. Jeremy managed the work, including scheduling and supervising the sub-trades. Every evening they cleaned up the work-space. The project was completed on budget and the quality of the work done is superb.
