“Project #1 with Trelli: June 2017 We had Trelli come in to renew the backyard living space. They removed the old deck, replaced it with a small balcony platform and a large 400sq foot stone patio. In the front of the house, the wooden landing platform was removed and also replaced with stone with an inset garden. Trelli has meticulous staff, always courteous, and a solid work ethic. The entire project fell within budget and estimates. The Trelli team always maintained a clean and safe worksite. They were always available for questions, and always took the time - every day - to explain the different steps of the project. They did offer options that we had not though of originally - like the sunken garden. It looks fantastic. Thank you for all your work. (Note: We have engaged Trelli to rebuild our driveway as our 2nd project with them) Project #2 with Trelli: July 2018 Trelli had done a great job last year on our back patio, balcony and front patio, greatly improving our outdoor living space. This year, we decided to engage Trelli to tackle our aging driveway. Our original plan was to have a very basic, rudimentary driveway, since we only park cars on it. After consulting with the guys, they came up with a really nice design that accentuated the property and complemented the design elements of last years project. The back patio now flows into the new driveway, which in turn flows cleanly into the front patio and sunken garden. The guys removed the original driveway, only to discover that the original underlying base was non-existent. They dug out a significant quantity of loose dirt and replaced with (I believe) 50 tons of crushed rock to ensure the driveway surface would be solid. Their work is quite meticulous, ensuring the integrity of the yard, house and the new patio they installed last year. The stone driveway looks fantastic and integrates perfectly with the 2 patios and walkway. As always, the Trelli guys were maintained a clean worksite, were very courteous and took the time to explain all the project elements to ensure we were aligned on all the deliverables. Their price was fair and they respected the estimates and our budget. We did make some project modifications and additions. These changes were fully documented and priced fairly. Trelli also took advantage of the time they were here to look at what they installed last year and make some improvements. We could see that the team has great synergy. This translates into a cordial work environment with great results. Thank you guys!”

“Called them to install 4 doors on a rental property I had recently acquired. Ended up giving them 32 more to install. Had them also paint the interior of the building. Overall the job was done quickly and I was satisfied with the end result. Very professional and chill guys. “This was our second major renovation project with Rene and his team, having had our basement redone from scratch in a previous house some 7 years ago. We purchased a beautiful home build in 1970 in Spring 2013, full of potential but requiring some major renovation work on the main and upstair floors (including the attic) as well as redoing the heating, plumbing and electricity in most of the house. Because we were still living abroad when we took possession of the house, this renovation job had the added complexity of being done while we were over 8000 kms away for the first 6 weeks of the work. Weekly Skype calls were set-up as well as quasi-daily sending of pictures to allow us to follow the progress of the work and answer any urgent questions. As is the case with most major renovations, there were some "surprises" along the way when walls or ceilings were removed only to find dangerous and faulty wiring, plumbing which had not been done according to Code and which posed an urgent fire or water leak damage if left unattended. Because this was our second time working with Rene, we felt absolutely comfortable giving him the keys to our new house for 6 weeks so he could have the place to himself to tear up floors, new staircase, knock down and rebuild walls and sand and stain existing floors in order to match new hardwood floors which we had him put in. Because he is a general contractor, Rene works with a team of "regulars" most of which we had already met 7 years ago during the previous renovation. The fact that they are still part of his extended team only confirmed the fact that high standards and standing behind your work were still the values they sought. Now that the work is completed, we get a kick out of showing the house to our new neighbours who cannot believe that this is the same house which they saw prior to our arrival. The whole feel and flow of the house have been transformed thanks to a clear vision from the new owners (us) but also because we hired someone who knew enough to suggest different ideas to help us achieve our vision but who was also experienced enough to warn us when he thought we were about to choose a product which might not match the flow and look of the house. Not only is the main renovation well done but the finishing is also above-par which makes the work look even better. Having a reliable contractor who surrounds himself with professionals is a luxury of sorts because we often read horror stories of renovation jobs gone wrong because of over-charging, unmet expectations or an inability for the contractor to achieve the vision of the home owner. To be able to count on a team who look after your home as if it were their own and who will apply the same standards to their work as you would for yours provides a peace of mind which is precious. We now find ourselves with a completely updated home which feels well-built and efficient, inviting and comfortable with an updated plumbing and electrical set-up designed to meet all regulatory standards. On top of this, all required insulation was put in during the renovation work, making the house much cheaper to heat and feeling warm or cool depending on the season. We would not hesitate to recommend Rene and his team for any renovation work as we have used him over two projects literally from the basement all the way to the attic. He has never failed to deliver and stands behind his work in case of any questions or adjustments once the work was finished.”
