“I have used Karen at Making Spaces to complete a number of projects now. These have ranged from small decoratve tasks where I simply didn't have the time to see what was "on-trend" or the energy to find the right lighting or furniture to finish off the space, to helping me renovate my toilet and bathroom. Having seen Karen in full flow, I can honestly say that I have never seen someone atttack a problem with such enthusiasm, tenacity or energy. The resources she manages to find are only matched by the cost savings she able to make by turning over every stone the Internet had to offer. I get the most amazing comments from friends visiting my home, and more importantly, thanks to her competitive pricing, I can still afford to provide drinks. Karen has proved to be trust-worthy, creative, adaptable and efficient. She has kept me informed of costings as the jobs have progressed, where others might have taken advantage of being left in charge. Most importantly, Karen pushed my boundaries, and encouraged me to consider other options, some I liked, others not so much, but always gave me loads of options. Overall, Karen has left me with a house to be proud of, which is both tasteful and unique, and finished to perfection. I can't speak highly enough of this company.”

“Design Consultation Service. We contacted Magpye Interiors to initially provide a design consultation for our holiday rental flat in the Yorkshire Dales. We recently purchased it and it had been used for over 10 years as a holiday home so was looking a bit tired and dated. We wanted a modern feel that would reflect our style/likes as we also use the flat on weekends for our own personal use . However we needed a design that would also be practical and accessible (as rented our for holiday stays across the year when we are not using it) and be sympathetic to the local environment. After having an initial phone conversation, Katie visited our flat with us and spent time with us discussing our needs, likes & dislikes, budget and went round the flat taking photos and taking measurements. She was an excellent listener and took into consideration our views but also gently challenged us to consider other ideas in terms of colours, design, room layout etc. Within a month she had produced a design brief with room plans and mood boards for all the rooms. We were absolutely blown away by the designs that Katie had produced - they fitted the brief exactly and got the balance perfectly right between meeting our practical needs and producing a stylish finish - with interest and sometimes a bit of fun too. Katie is professional, approachable and very knowledgeable. We liked the designs so much we then went on to use her full design service. We would not hesitate to recommend Magpye Interiors.”

“Caroline is an interior design godsend. Caroline has worked with me on full redesigns of both my home office and guest bedroom and has also help source other pieces throughout my home. Caroline has a really strong instinct which means she can understand even the most vague of ides I have and translate them into really wonderful rooms. The brief for my home office was along the lines of "something a bit industrial but very homely and absolutely not corporately" and I cannot begin to explain how amazing the result is. I am so happy with everything Caroline has done in my home and cannot rate her highly enough. Also, when I'm faced with design decisions and cannot make up my mind I have absolute confidence to let Caroline choose and I trust completely that the result will be amazing. I have used Caroline on a "full implementation" basis which I thoroughly recommend as it takes all the stress out of transforming a room. Caroline is super organised, knows all the best trades people, keeps you fully up to speed with everything and just cracks on and gets it done. She is also really lovely. I will use her for any room I decorate in future and she is my first port of call if I'm on the hunt for furniture. Interior design godsend. Cannot recommend enough.”
