He saw what I had in the way of pictures and that there are a lot of Japanese artifacts in the room. What he came up with was a fresher look to go with my newly refinished hardwood floors. She knows what works and what will be right for the style of your home. She's also able to flex and reset when you change your mind or go in a different direction! She came in on budget and in the time frame requested. She also helped me with my family room, pulling together what had been two separate spaces, making them cohesive and cosy where before they had been cold and nonfunctioning. I love both spaces. “We loved working with Victoria! I spoke with 5 other designers before we hired her and by far the model she works with is one of the most cost-effective and efficient options for getting a beautifully designed space pulled together. We hired her to help with decorating our place after completing the remodel of our home, and I've been singing her praises ever since. I wish we'd hired her earlier to help us pick some of the finishes and fixtures throughout the house (not just the decor). Our place has come together beautifully and she has a great eye and has really personalized our space to what we want. The design process is very efficient: we filled out a questionaire about our lifestyle, design aesthetic, and budget and gave her a set of pictures/images to show her our style. She met with us for a couple hours to walk through the space in person, and while she was there did a color consultation to help us pick wall paint colors. We had a few cabinet pulls we hadn't picked but needed to order in the next week, and were delighted by flexible she was in turning around quickly and giving us some ideas on that before the rest of the project. About a week after our design consultation, she came back with a detailed spreadsheet of what to buy within the budget. She strikes a great balance between giving opinionated advice and listening to what we want. After that, we used the spreadsheet to check out and purchase the items. In some cases, we decided to go a different direction from what she picked or items went out of stock and Victoria was really great about giving us some alternate options. I couldn't say enough great things about how responsive she is and how great the communication has been in putting together a fairly complicated project. We couldn't be happier with the results and would highly recommend working with her.”

“As a designer, I'm always looking for great sources and Derby is one of the best. They have a broad selection of everything -- rugs, wallpaper, art, lighting, furniture, accessories, etc. The items are well made and priced and the shop carries high profile designer lines like Arteriors, Jamie Young, and Bungalow 5. The owner, Eileen Bocci, is a designer herself. She has a very "fresh" look in her shop -- updated without being trendy. She is particularly skilled at selecting upholstery fabrics and adding interesting details like trims and nailheads. There are several room "vignettes" that allow you to explore different styles and colors. The staff is friendly and helpful. All in all, It's a pleasure to do business here!”
