“We commissioned Special Gardens to design and manage our project in the South of France. From the first evaluation of the site, Sally interpreted our requirements with a full and sympathetic analysis of what we hoped to achieve. This was then tempered by Sally's absolute knowledge and understanding of the region and it's climate. Her recommendations for planting was outstanding and reflected both our personal style and the practicalities of the the garden. We were astonished to be presented with beautiful hand drawn plans at the end of the project. Sally has created a low maintenance, contemporary garden which flourishes even in the most adverse of conditions and she consistently worked with us to ensure our vision was accurately delivered. Sally took control of the project by sourcing the plants and managing the builders and landscapers. The net result was a hassle free experience . “We asked Chiltern Garden Design to prepare and implement a planting plan to bring our walled garden to life. They have done a brilliant job, bringing together a range of unusual plants, trees and shrubs to ensure it looks great all year round with relatively little maintenance. Sam has also been a font of knowledge and help with a range of other areas such as dealing with honey fungus, managing some invasive weeds in the lawn and putting up a living roof on our garden shed. I could not recommend her more highly.”
