“Our project was to develop a medium-sized garden, four miles from the Sussex coast, which faces south-west and suffers strong winds, lethal for many plant species, Barry Chambers of Changing Scenes, of Bognor Regis, successfully designed a colourful garden of raised flower beds, mature trees, large shrubs, a vegetable and sitting area and a stone beach with seaside plants, creating a frame for views across fields and glorious sunsets. The work was put out to tender to about five firms, with husband and wife team Keymer Landscapes, of Barnham, Bognor Regis, who I would also recommend, selected. Barry Chambers' knowledge of plants, and their survival in these conditions, is excellent, as is his ability to explain his choices without pretension. The construction and gardening was hands-on supervised by Barry who regularly returns, post-project, to add plants and check the progress of the garden and its maintenance. “Amy has done designs for three areas of our garden. The brief was low maintenance, harmoniuos colours (with what was already in the garden) and scented plants where possible. She met the brief perfectly (including the agreed budget), overseeing the construction of an exquisite patio with a small summer house and a rippling fountain, surrounded by scented plants which start in early Spring and are still going strong in late Autumn. Subsequently Amy has helped to maintain her designs making the whole thing virtually hassle free for us. We just get to enjoy the fruits of her skill and professionalism.”
