We have used Whitstable Tree Surgery twice, once to erect a fence and once to lay a patio in our garden, and will be using them again shortly to carry out some landscaping. All the work they have done has been first class, and I unreservedly recommend them

Lisa and her team transformed our overgrown impractical garden into the funky fun room outside our young family needed. We came to Lisa with some firm ideas about what we wanted and not only did she listen to those but her designs enhanced our initial thoughts. Lisa is professional, insightful, brilliant at what she does and lovely to know we would strongly recommend her. Ours is the curvy garden.

I am really happy with the design that Mark did for me. He was professional, helpful, courteous and his plant knowledge was incredible. He worked very well with my contractor and had great ideas. He provided me with hand drawn sketches as well as cad designs and 3D visuals. I can not recommend him highly enough!

Laura Antiss has been and continues to be a pleasure to work with as a creative designer for my garden project . She has helped me crystal my bucket list into a workable design providing working drawings for the Landscape contractors including construction, electrical, irrigation and planting elements. She is hugely personable, flexible , full of common sense, very practical with great design flair and mindful of cost implications. A total find as she worked with Alan Titchmarsh on his last series of Love Your Garden and is great value for money given her vast experience . Do not hesitate to make contact with her !!

Kristina created a beautiful garden from the more or less bare field that came with our house. It was a really awkward L-shape with an unsightly view of the nextdoor outbuilding and Kristina managed to create a garden of three compartments which made sense of the space, with a pleached hornbeam hedge to screen the view. Kristina listened to all our requirments and delivered a stunning colourful flower garden with a pergola of our choice as a centrepiece, which gives us joy all the year round. She helped us monitor the progress of the hard landscaping contractors, prepared the beds and planted up the garden to the highest standard all within a short timescale. We have shown our garden for the last two years for the National Gardens Scheme and always receive wonderful comments about it. Kristina continues to oversee our garden and its ongoing development.

Just over a year ago we moved into this lovely old house 400 metres from the sea with 2 completely shingle spaces as front and back gardens! Fine for tenants, low maintenance but barren. Thank goodness we found Janette of Cornus Garden Design - she turned our blank canvas into 2 tranquil and beautiful spaces making use of the existing shingle. We had no side access but Janette solved this problem by putting us in touch with a company that laid walkways in Marinas and Industrial Plants. Once our retaining wall was strengthened the surface was covered with the non-slip grill which is perfect and sits well with this house. Her whole design and planting scheme is sympathetic to the surroundings and our suggestions and we couldn't be more thrilled with the result. The use of low planting in the beds with taller planting at the edges and the beautiful water feature and lighting add interest and depth to the design. The hard landscaping was inspired. We would highly recommend Janette and her and innovative ideas - a big THANK YOU . . . .

We first met Chris when he was exhibiting at the Chelsea Flower Show, very much admired the gardens he created and stayed in touch with him. Some years later we were able to come back to him and asked for a plan for our tiny Cottage garden in the New Forest. Then, it was an ugly, depressing 'easy care' space that no one really wanted to use, in a conservation area with a large listed shed in the middle and very exposed. The largest usable area was filled with steps, dank concrete crazy paving, drains, bins and a boiler. Renovation and redesign needed someone with real insight to visualise what it could become. Chris created 3 individual areas within the garden, each with a slightly different purpose and character. The biggest area is now a beautiful sun trap and herb garden paved with warm terracotta sandstone with table and chairs and a parasol. We use it all the time and somehow the boiler is less noticeable. We have a more formal screened seating area to look out onto the Forest without feeling observed and a secluded grassy back garden for complete peace and quiet. Chris didn't feel the need to completely empty the garden as some designers might, but thoughtfully incorporated existing plants and features into the design and was flexible about amending it - such as when a well was found during works. This meant our new garden had immediate character, not just lots of tiny, new plants. He was a real pleasure to work with - sensitive to our budgetary restraints and receptive to ideas. He was tactful when telling us that some things wouldn't work too. As he lives a long way away we used a local landscaper to do the hard landscaping and liaised with Chris as the work was done. He came down and supervised the planting and was tactful with the landscapers but got his way. Chris really knows his plants and did us a proper planting plan and plant list. Not only are the species carefully chosen to suit the aspect but we got the loveliest variety of each and the vast majority have thrived. We are thrilled with our garden, we love and cherish it. We regularly receive unsolicited compliments about our beautiful garden, how appropriate it is to the situation and people ask who designed it. It is much easier to look after and an enormously rewarding space to enjoy. I have not put down a cost as I can't remember - but it was definitely money well spent. I can't see how to attach photos, but if you contact him he will know which garden this is. I would absolutely recommend Chris, he is more than capable, he's first rate.

We asked “please make our garden look better this year” and he delivered! He was fast, creative and nice to work with. His team was great and we have used them since. We want a bigger look at the garden soon and would use Chris again.
