Jane and Julia interpreted our brief extremely effectively and designed a coherent layout that appears more spacious than before. The new garden is much more useable and has given us great pleasure and enjoyment. After two years it is maturing nicely and Jane and Julia have continued to offer help and guidance, which has been extremely useful in keeping the garden maintained well.

We commissioned Hamilton Cody to design our small garden in 2016. Jane and Julia took the time to understand our needs/wishes for the garden at a meeting in our home, walking around the space and talking to us about different possibilities and options. They then presented their designs to us which evidenced that they had paid close attention to what we had asked for, with thoughtful inclusions and suggestions. We particularly liked the large format of the designs and plans as well as the "mood board" of plants, garden furniture, etc that they presented us with. Once the project was priced up we worked with Jane and Julia to make some changes to bring it closer to our original budget. They made some very helpful suggestions which worked out really well. Once the work started on the project Jane and Julia popped in occasionally and maintained good contact with ourselves and the firm undertaking the work. This was helpful and created a sense of partnership; we felt listened to and that our wishes were respected. A year on, the garden is an overwhelming success. Our wish for a peaceful oasis that is as attractive to insects as it is to humans has been achieved. We have worked hard to use only organic methods/products in the garden and this has helped to achieve superb growth in the first year. The plants that Julia and Jane sourced have almost all survived - there have been perhaps 3 or 4 casualties which is less than I expected. We could not be more thrilled with our garden! Jane and Julia at Hamilton Cody are the best!! Our garden has been transformed and is the most beautiful space for our whole family to enjoy. They were brilliant from the initial consultation right through to the finished product, and still enjoy popping round to see how the garden grows! Every single person that visits our house comments on what a wonderful garden we have. One of the most best bits for me is how the garden has developed since it was first completed. It simply gets better and better as each season changes. I asked Hamilton Cody to do a complete overhaul of my small, overshadowed urban garden, and provide a better seating area. I was delighted with the result - they did everything I asked for and more. They were professional and knowledgeable at all times - they chose a particularly nice selection of plants, many of which I had not seen before, which well fitted the brief of "woodland style". They made the most of the garden being on several levels and turned it into an asset rather than a problem. I should add that they were also a pleasure to work with.

I wanted an english country garden feel for my front garden and had a very tight timescale. I contacted Jane and Julia in the middle of the busiest season and they were very accommodating. They came round and we talked about my requirements and came back with a beautiful garden design and flower planting plan. They made sure they were on hand to arrange the plants and direct the gardeners to where they should be planted. They gave me all the instructions I needed and continued to help me with my queries for a few months whilst i got my head around gardening. I would definitely recommend their services.

Jane and Julia designed a complete overhaul of our townhouse garden. It initially had concrete style block paving with a few beds made with railway sleepers. It's now a lush, vibrant and welcoming garden that we have spent lots of time in. We loved their work so much that we have employed them again to renovate the garden of our new coach house. They are thoughtful and generous with their ideas and really nice to work with.

Julia and Jane transformed my garden into a peaceful space, which is lovely to relax in and easy to maintain. They listened to my requirements and took them into consideration when planning the new design. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Julia Cody and Jane Hamilton were recommended to me when I wanted to transform my garden. Originally it featured three different levels of decking, steps in an awkward place, overgrown trees blocking the light and boring planting. They listened to what I wanted to achieve and made some brilliant and practical design suggestions for tree surgery, extending the decking, replacing the steps, creating a paved seating area, installing an artificial lawn, planting new trees and creating new beds for planting – all of which took my preferences into account. They worked with a fabulous team of contractors to undertake the hard landscaping, who completed the work to a very high standard and with far less disruption than I feared. The project was undertaken and completed on time and within budget. I am absolutely delighted by results achieved and the new garden has been much admired by guests. I now have a great space in which to relax and entertain.
