This lovely modern house has an unusually generous front garden and a small, shady rear area. We designed the space to be a relaxing social space that will look good all year round. The challenge was to create a space that felt private enough to be inviting but open enough to allow free access to front door.

We used evergreen hedging strategically placed to create as sense of enclosure and to screen the parked cars. The small rear garden has a fire pit at the focal point surrounded by tree ferns and Japanese Maples.
